Our news this month has been written by Connie Mitchell and Max Roberts in Year 5:

In Monk Fryston School over the past few weeks we have been on lots of exciting trips such as swimming galas and truck safety visit and some of us have had a visitor come in to teach them French.

GOAL Stands for ‘Game Of Actual Life’. In Game Of Actual Life we are all adults and pay bills get wages rent a flat and buy a house. In GOAL the Year 5, Year 6 and Year 4 have learned how to get jobs and have bank accounts. The police officer has but lots of fines out. We also have a news reporter and sport reporter. We have all had are driver's license and we are doing our own businesses. It is amazing!

Sports Day is on the 21st of May and everyone is excited. On Sports Day we have different teams named after colours: Yellow, Black, Blue, Purple, Red and Green. We do lots of different sports like: javelin, wellie throwing, golf and penalty shoot out. After lunch we have races. Key Stage One do the egg and spoon race and Key Stage Two do the bean bag obstacle course. Some people do a relay race before the teachers, parents and little children that have come to watch do a race of their own. The winning team will be awarded gold medals
